Poole Hospital [Pathology Department]
September – December 2000

A 30 day Year of the Artist residency at Poole Hospital working closely with laboratory scientists in microbiology, haematology, cytology and biochemistry. The aims of the residency were to raise public awareness of a vital and often forgotten part of modern medicine and reveal the beauty and wonder of our bodily flora and fauna.

Other works involve a shrunken team of biochemists battling with the machine that samples over sixteen hundred patients every day (printed onto pristine white lab coats), and an installation exploring the critical process of assessing blood for transfusion.
