Flow
Artist Heather
Barnett and
poet Will
Holloway were commissioned to produce
artworks for the new Cancer Day Unit at Guy’s
Hospital, opened by David Dimbleby in April 2011.
The artworks were
created in response to a series of word games
and workshops held with patients, carers and staff.
The work produced, seen on the walls, windows
and screens of the unit, brings together the themes
of the living city, navigation and the flow of
nature.

All works created by Heather
Barnett and Will
Holloway working in collaboration
with patients, carers and staff of the Cancer Day
Unit, with additional illustration by Tim
McDonagh (An Atlas of Journeys), Zanet
Belasicova (City
in Flow) and Valerie
McNulty (Multiplicity).
Installation photographs by Charlotte
Wood.
Project Architects GreenhillJenner.
