Excision (a photographic and sound installation) explores the experiences of 8 people who have lost part of their body through surgical procedure. Their stories, told through a layered audio soundtrack, encompass a range of feelings about becoming ‘incomplete’- of invasion and relief, horror and humour, each providing personal testimony to accompany the clinical and anonymous images of the instruments used in the surgical procedures.
