Examination

A series of photographic prints exploring the intimacy of touch in doctor/patient relationships.

Commissioned for Invisible Body and produced in collaboration with gynaecologist Kathy Boursicot the images are inspired by text-book illustrations of physical medical examinations, re-staged and photographed in a manner which blurs the distinction between clinical precision and sensual ambiguity.
